WHEN YOU'VEGOT OCD, YOU NOTICE THESE THINGS

Random things.  The location and orientation of the crack in the sidewalk; the decision of the city of Downey to place the traffic sign at that particular spot; the position of the Sun -- which really means the position of the Earth in its orbit at this particular day, hour and minute of the year -- and my strolling by this particular spot just then -- all came together by chance to neatly bisect the shadow of the sign.

A New Neighborhood Butterfly

I say "New", because my guess is that this is not the same butterfly I named the Neighborhood Butterfly last year.  But since it looks to be the same species, and I did witness a pair of them mating, I suppose this individual could be their direct descendant.  Which makes it the New Neighborhood Butterfly for the neighborhood.
