My Errant Jacket

This Errant Cardigan someone misplaced was going to be the post today.

It looked to have been there for a goodly while too, judging by the leaves it had collected.

But while I was out walking earlier, I lost my own jacket.  After an hour and a half of walking I was getting pretty hot, so I took the jacket off and slung it over my shoulder bag.  Then, a while later I reached into the bag for my phone camera, and realized it was gone.  I retraced my steps for a considerable distance, but no luck.  It was lost.

Now there could well be some other blogger somewhere uploading an "Errant Jacket" post.

Above The Line & Below The Line

Having briefly worked in the moviemaking business (and actually done a bit part opposite no less than Gene Hackman!), I got to learn some of the industry's jargon, including "above the line" and "below the line".  The former refers to the major cast, the director, the writer and producer.  The latter is everyone else, including the technical crew, the small-parters, the "extries", etc.  Today I persuaded Selene to play both parts for me.

Which reminds me of the old Korean adage, "When whales fight, the shrimp's back breaks", a self-deprecating reference to the fact that little Korea has for so long has had to bear the brunt of the fallout from the conflicts involving its much bigger neighbors, China, Russia and Japan.

Spontaneous Camouflage

Another "only with OCD" photo.  How amazing is this!  Not only matching the background in color, but to have landed just right so the color boundary exactly matches the sidewalk tiles' grout lines (I didn't touch it, honest)!  Flounders and octopuses have nothing on this cone.  I swear I sometimes feel almost like one of those autistic savants who see math or can listen to a song once and play it on the piano -- only with "environmental visuals", if that's a phrase😁
