Impressive Sunsets

First, shot from my balcony yesterday:

Then, today I went a few blocks down from my apartment and saw this (there had been a heavy cloud cover all day with no rain and I was feeling a bit glum, but come late evening everything changed);  you want a spectacular sunset? wait for an overcast day!

I crossed and re-crossed the street a bunch of times just so I could record the colors deepening as the sky darkened over a few minutes:

Yesterday Evening

From about five o'clock to six thirty or so yesterday, I took an aimless, longish stroll through the neighborhood, photographing whatever caught my eye.  The sky was particularly interesting.

Taken At The Golden Hour

Another one that impressed me as being fairly surrealistic/dreamlike without being overtly weird.

Nothing Special, Just

a shot taken down the street during Golden Hour (and slightly color-enhanced) -- it's just that I just love this image.

There, that's three "justs" in just one sentence.

Or five "justs" in just two... OK, infinite sequence commencing.

Just A Couple of Nice Shots

But in extravagant evening colors this time.  First, another one of those "right there" shots;  then, one that makes one suspect the Korean military has finally perfected that fabled laser weapon.

Rich Evening

When I went out for a walk late this afternoon, I wasn't expecting much in the way of photogenic sights.  Evening was approaching and the partially overcast sky was not very promising.  I was glad to be proven wrong, however.

There was this intense iridescence low in the evening sky;  kind of looks like "The Mark of Zorro";  plus it sure looks like I was risking my neck in the traffic here

Then there was this amazing "winged figure" near the horizon

Oh, and I just happened to be listening to Bach's "Sheep May Safely Graze" on AirPods when I came across this outdoor display^^

Pretty Spectacular

Yesterday evening I went out for a stroll in the cool(er) evening air, and saw these gorgeous displays of color and form in the darkening sky.  I went out again today, hoping for a repeat performance, but there was not a wisp of cloud.
