LOVE AND LOYALTY DIVIDED

While I was checking out online news sites earlier, an article about a certain small Asian country (Ahem!)  standing up to a certain global superpower (Ahem! again) acting like a deceitful bully caught my attention.  It inspired me to come up with this addition to my list of "Sammy-isms":

"Try to step on this mine head,

and break your own ankle instead"

Reminds me of this proud moment in that superpower's history:

I SHOULDA BEEN A RAPPER

Chi rispetta sarΓ  rispettato - "Who respects, will be respected", or more loosely, "Give respect and get respect".

Recently I happened to express a minority opinion on a topic online, and was roundly attacked ad hominem and insulted by a bunch of ideological faddists.

Which led me to invent a new aphorism, a mirror-image of the wise Italian proverb cited above.  And it is, ahem,

"Diss dissent, and get dissed (yo!)."

Just Came Up With A New Aphorism

To use against the neo-segregationists who would have you believe race is the most important thing about a person:

"We may eat different, but we all $h!t the same".

EDIT:  I am reminded of an old documentary I once watched, that referenced the first contact of a New Guinean(I think?) tribe.  An old native man was talking about the time when he saw white people for the very first time and was fascinated.  He recalled watching the white party from a place of hiding, and when one of the group left to go off into the bush, he guessed what the man was up to, and followed him stealthily.  The white man went to do his business in a suitably secluded spot, none the wiser that he was being watched, and went back to rejoin his party.  The old native recalled then going in to examine what the white man had left behind, and he said something to the effect of how he'd been impressed by the fact that the white man's $h!t looked the same as his own, not white as he had half-expected.

I've Invented Two New Literary Devices

One is an aphorism, the other is an insult.

I think they're both pretty good, if I do say so myself.

The aphorism:

"Words - seeds of deeds"

The insult:

"My a$$hole is prettier than your face"

Another New Aphorism

"Respect may not always beget respect, but only respect can beget respect."

Part of my answer to a person who thought he could do no wrong on the internet.
