Eager early preparations for a holiday that was virtually unknown in Korea until quite recently. When I visited Korea some years ago about this time of year, the only sign I saw of its acknowledgement was a small, paltry display of mini jack-o'lanterns hanging at a booth in Namdaemun market. And now look, it's a huge big deal, at least among younger people.
