Another Glove
THE SUBJECT OF "THE OBJECT"
My creative writing teacher once said that in writing fiction 'what' you say is not as important as 'how' you say it. I believe the same rule applies in visual arts as well. Grand topics and universal themes are great, they have their roles, but one of my favorite things to do is to take humble, common things in everyday life - little trivialities noticed by no one else but me - and modify or present them in ways that imbue them with special significance - or "dignity", as I call it.

UFO over La Cienega Blvd., L.A.
I'd forgotten about this one. From January, 2019.
It occurs to me that I've caught quite a few UFOs on camera over the years. Are there many people who have had multiple encounters like me? Perhaps I've been a member of an exclusive club all this time without realizing it..?!

I've Invented Two New Literary Devices
One is an aphorism, the other is an insult.
I think they're both pretty good, if I do say so myself.
The aphorism:
"Words - seeds of deeds"
The insult:
"My a$$hole is cleaner and prettier than your face"
