I de-colorized this innocuous photo of a sun-drenched rooftop cafe, and suddenly that shadow under the stairs looked like the side of a solid staircase. Actually, the stairs are just a steel sheet folded to form steps. Looks almost like one of those visual illusion photos.
...who also happens to be very interested in camouflage. I saw this out the bus window and couldn't resist. I barely had time to click off a shot before the bus took off again.

EDIT: I've got music playing on the computer, and just now, as I typed "coincidence" in the Labels section, Duran Duran sang "...coincidence" in their song "Ordinary World". What a coincidence :D
of those old time cartoons on TV where a villain paints a tunnel entrance on a wall, but then a car comes speeding along and goes right through -- but when the perplexed villain tries the same thing they crash against the wall and end up flattened.
I looked down this alley as I walked past, and just for a moment, thought I was looking at an intensely blue sky.
But no. The real sky above the blue-draped building was the same old boiled blue^.

I walked past this bakery and, just for a moment, thought those loaves were eyeballs. A bit startling, to be sure.
In a shop display window. Curious how the "antelope's" head seems to continue the color and direction of the board under it, almost as if it were transparent or a color mimic.
