marveling at the beauty of nature in autumn,
(Although I'm not formally religious, I used to attend church for social reasons, and even sang in the choir; during this walk I felt like bursting out with a round of "How Great Thou Art")
when I came to this patch of sidewalk densely strewn with ginkgo leaves,
and noticed this out-of-place leaf.
Apparently it had made up its mind to follow its brethren and fall off the tree, then changed its mind mid-fall and decided to stay on the tree a while longer.
