According to an article I read the most-consumed spirit in the world, by sheer volume, is not vodka, not whisk(e)y, not tequila or rum. Liter by liter, the rather unexpected winner of that honor, is... soju! -- the overwhelming favorite drink of Koreans for meals, snacks and excuses.
